Board Certified Physicians

The thirty one Board-Certified Physicians of Radiology of Huntsville (ROH) offer our patients an experienced radiology team with expertise in a wide range of sub-specialties in radiology, such as Diagnostic Radiology. Diagnostic radiology refers to a group of methods that utilize non-invasive techniques to identify and monitor certain diseases. Our commitment to high quality patient care combined with cutting edge technology positions us as leaders in the radiology community.

Radiology of Huntsville (ROH) provides general and specialty radiology coverage to five Alabama hospitals, two breast centers, nine outpatient imaging centers and multiple physician offices. ROH provides many options using non-invasive imaging scans in diagnosing a patient’s condition.

Some examples of non-invasive imaging provided by ROH:

  • MRI Scans (aka: Magnetic Resonance Imaging)
  • X-rays (aka: Radiography)
  • Ultrasound
  • CT Scans (aka: Computed Tomography)

Diagnostic radiology is often used to identify broken bones, heart conditions, blood clots, breast cancer screening, and gastrointestinal conditions like colon cancer, but is also used to monitor how your body is responding to a current treatment.

ROH also uses non-invasive image technology to eliminate the need for surgery and/or scopes to diagnose and treat certain conditions, under very mild sedation. Interventional radiology is image-guided surgery and uses diagnostic imaging tools (MRI, CT, ultrasound, and fluoroscopy) to guide their procedures.
